Flashes of intense color hot pink, orange, green and day-glow blue — streaked across the course of the Color Me Rad 5-kilometer run on May 7th in Draper Utah Saturday morning.
Some 1,500 people participated, passing through a kaleidoscopic haze that left their T-shirts looking like botched tie-dye.
And in the midst of it was Sara Poncelet a fitness instructor from The Club at Wolf Creek. Her energy was high as she lead the warm up for race participants. YMCA has never looked so good!
“I really loved the energy of the crowd and the Emcee was hilarious! I loved how the whole vibe of the event was family oriented and focused on fun not competition.” Said Sara.
Color Me Rad is a 5k “fun run” that promotes healthy active lifestyles and interactive family and friend fun.
Most of the participants said it was their first 5k run and they would for sure be back next year.
Sara encourages all individuals who may feel intimidated by 5k runs to check out Color Me Rad and join in on the fun next year! The atmosphere is energetic and accepting to all ages and fitness levels AND you end looking like a pack of skittles!!
